I think this is my favourite drug store make up combination. I love full coverage foundations and it think this duo works just as well as any other expensive foundation and primer.

I have always had Rimmel foundation, I think that the shade 100 Ivory is the exact colour of my skin! I love a foundation that matches perfectly to my skin. I like to be able to pop it on in a hurry and feel like I won’t have any lines round my jaw bone or neck.

This Rimmel Foundation is the 25 hour Lasting Finish foundation with comfort serum. The foundation is a skin perfecting full coverage foundation. The foundation is also SPF 20,  therefore protecting for the skin. When it comes to application I use about a 5p sized amount (1 pump) with a Real Techniques buffing brush for the daytime. I apply another slightly smaller amount if I was going for a night out or special occasion just to be extra flawless!

I can’t say that this foundation lasts 25 hours as I  never seem to stay awake that long! However I do think that this foundation is long lasting and doesn’t tend to budge, especially when used with the primer.

This foundation is great for summer and for your holiday make up bag! Last year I went to Ibiza for a week with my boyfriend. I took this foundation in my normal shade and the next shade darker for when I got more of a tan. This foundation did not budge in the heat, and also stayed matte on my face when it was very humid! I would recommend as the perfect drug store holiday foundation. It certainly covers up burnt noses!

The Rimmel London Lasting Finish primer is made to use with the Foundation. This primer increases the wear of the foundation for up to 8 hours! This primer also works well under other cream foundations such as MAC studio scuplt.

I usually like the consistency of a gel primer like the body shop ‘wonder blur’ however this primer is a cream consistency. Normally I expect that a cream primer wouldn’t be as good for oil control. This primer is very good as oil control and keeps my t-zone from becoming shiny.

I only apply a pea sized amount of primer to my t-zone. I use my fingers to blend the product into my skin. This primer is translucent. You can see a difference instantly. I think this primer blurs all my pores and makes my skin look plumper. I would happily apply this primer on its own if I wanted to wear no make up but still wanted my skin to look flawless and healthy! This primer also adds a glow to the skin, something not often found in primers so is a definite bonus!

I leave the primer set for about 30 seconds and then apply my foundation. I think this allows the primer to dry but still leaves it a bit tacky in consistency on my face in order to work with my foundation. When both products are used together my skin looks flawless! I feel that all the pigment in my skin in blurred and is now healthy looking! I have not read much about this primer and I don’t know why?! I think its fab and affordable so Im sharing this with you so you can get your hands on it! I wish I had brought the primer ages ago as I think this duo is better together than apart!
