This palette is one of my most treasured make up pieces. Its versatile, highly pigmented, affordable and high quality. This is the Zoeva Nude Spectrum Eye shadow Palette and its truly beautiful.
This palette was a gift from my brother for my 23rd birthday (bless him). Well I sent him the link on Beauty Bay and he got it for me!
I had never brought anything from Beauty Bay . I would use the website again as it was really easy to use and they always have delivery offers which is a bonus!. The website offers a variety of products which aren’t on the UK high street so this is the place to visit if you want to find something new.
Zoeva is a German Make up brand. They make gorgeous make up brushes which most people swoon over. They also make a variety of make up products such as eye shadows, liners, blushers and bronzers. I am currently eyeing up their nude spectrum blush palette – has any one got this or done a blog post on it? LINK ME!
This was one of my favourite presents and I fell in love with it instantly. The outside flap cover is almost a suede design and I love the rose gold detailing (it shines into a spectrum of colours in the light like a rainbow!). When you open the palette you are greeted by 15 beautiful matte and shimmer eye shadows.
The eye shadows are highly pigmented and have a very powdery consistency (some people like to say buttery but I don’t really like that term). The colours range from champagnes, to tans, golds, browns and blacks.
You are provided with 5 matte shadows and 10 shimmer shadows. The amount of looks you can create with this palette is quite frankly unimaginable. I tend to use the bottom 6 shades as I find these the most pretty. I use the black shadow the least as I don’t like a very dark smoky eye on myself.
This palette is also quite a rare one. All the shades can be used on all skin tones and look gorgeous. I think this is very rare in make up products these days, so you can buy it for anyone with any skin tone and it will look beautiful on them. This palette is also perfect for holidays (can you imagine those dark brown shimmer shadows with a tan? INCREDIBLE).
I have provided 2 swatches below of the natural shades, then darker shades of the palette. I always mix it up between the two sets depending on what look i want to go for. I love the deep amber shimmer shadow and the gold shadow, these are amazing for any time you want a beautiful stand out eye look.
The lightest shade in this palette is a matte. It nearly matches the colour of my skin! I use this as a base now for whatever eye shadow look I am using, or if I want an everyday make up look this shade covers the pigmentation on my eyelids.
That Gold shade is everything. I usually apply this shade all over and do a black wing liner and lashings of mascara and eyeliner, or under the lower lashes to my my eyes pop. This shade would look the best on blue eyes, unfortunately I have brown but still looks great! The shimmer and pay off you get in these eye shadows is unreal definitely worth the money.
Application: I use a fluffy brush and a eye blending brush to blend in these eye shadows (any type of brush that you like to use will do fine). Be careful, these shadows are highly pigmented so build them up instead of slapping loads of your eyelids. Also I would use a eye shadow primer (MAC is amazing for these) to ensure the maximum stay for these shadows. I would also use these shadows wet as well as dry for extra pay off, don’t soak the shadows; make your brush a bit damp or dampen some shadow on the back of your hand before application. I would also recommend application with your fingers! Then you can really work the product in and blend into a smokey/defined eye look.
I really think this eye shadow palette is worth every penny. The packaging is great too; you can chuck it in any make up bag as the flap is magnetic!. The only reason this product did not get a 10/10 from me is the lack of mirror! I wish there was one as it would save me packing a mirror in my handbag or my case if I was off on holiday.
Do you have this palette? Do you want this palette now I’ve told you how amazing it is? Send me your eye shadow looks using these shades if you have on either in the comments below, on Twitter or Instagram.
Love you all,
