Hair Oil – should you use it? Mini Hair care series – part 2.

Oil in your hair?! It’s something we all contemplate when we think about this product but trust me this stuff works and your hair will thank you instantly!

So, when it came to hair oil I used to cringe and think ‘not for me, my hair is WAY to thin and will be come greasy instantly’. Well beauts, I was very wrong. At the start of the year I was having my hair cut and my hairdresser decided to slap some hair oil on my hair without me realising (cheeky), however after realising and calming down I was pleasantly surprised.

Over recent years Moroccan oil, and Argan oil have all been advertised as being the best thing for your hair. Truth is they are the both the same thing! The Argan tree is the native tree of Morocco. Its actually the tree you’ve probably seen a million times with goats climbing up it! How do you know this you must be thinking?!

I did a geography degree at the University of Derby (fab uni). In my third year they took us on a trip to Morocco and we visited a women’s co operative where they harvest Argan nuts and then use a stone to press the oil out the Nut. The ladies at the co operative told us how good the oil was for bad skin, burns, scars, and your hair! Ever since then I’ve loved the stuff!

So back to this hair oil… I was at my hairdressers and she put this in my hair when it was dry and it made it look super glossy! When she told me I could get it for less than £5 from Wilko I was so shocked! So off I went to Wilko and there it was straight in my basket!

I’ve never tried anything by schwarzkopf ‘got2b’ hair range so I was quite excited to try this! The bottle is 50ml and it only comes in this size. This might not seem like a lot but it lasts a lifetime for me! I have found that this size is perfect for travelling as it slots quite happily into my wash bag and hardly takes up any room!

This is an affordable hair oil. Those of you that need the extra nourish, glow, and supermodel finish to your here then the Liz Earle one is for you; Read HERE.

This Hair oil is for taming and creating shine for your hair. I use one pump every time I was my hair! (Every 3 days). I pump it into my palm, and then cover both hands and apply to towel dry hair. I just cover the bottom third of my hair – NEVER THE ROOTS! My hair is super thin and fine so it would just go instantly greasy if I applied to the roots.

I then dry my hair as normal, resulting in hair that is much glossier and a lot easier to style. You would think that that oil makes hair heavy and limp, but this makes my hair feel light and bouncy. It also makes my hair look healthy. The Argan oil makes my hair less tangled and has massively reduced the total amount of split ends I have (common for fine hair). I would recommend this hair oil for all hair types! For those of you with sensitive scalp this product will not irritate your skin. NOTE: You can use this on dry hair also, I’ve used it on freshly curled hair for glossy waves #hairgoals.

I would recommend this for anyone who’s recently dyed their hair and wants to nourish your locks! Also those of you that have been swimming in the sea or have been using that much sea salt spray that your hairs feeling a bit crusty! This hair oil also makes my hands super soft like a baby’s bum, honestly it’s a great moisturiser for your hands as well as your hair!

Do you use hair oils?! If so which one do you use?! Do they work for your hair?! Let me know!

I’ve used a couple of different brands but the got2b that you use is my favourite by far – I put loads in the dry ends of my hair and it just soaks it up.
    I swear by it!
