I love lip gloss. I know it’s not to everyone’s taste but I think it looks so classy and a little bit sassy. My favourite go to lip glosses are from Bobbi Brown, I swear by them.
I first got a Bobbi Brown lip gloss a couple of years ago. I started to read up a lot about Bobbi, her products, and how she really promotes natural beauty. I went to John Lewis to the BB counter originally to purchase the rose quartz shimmer brick (READ HERE). I started swatching the lip products on the back of my hand and I found a beautiful nude pink lip gloss with quite a lot of pigment called ‘pink beige‘. That day I ended up with a shimmer brick and lip gloss and I’ve not looked back since.
The pink beige lip gloss is from the Bobbi Brown normal lip gloss range. It’s fairly thick in consistency and lasts on the lips pretty much all day. The applicator is really good at applying the right amount of product across the lips. The pigment within the gloss makes your lips look so plump and lovely! I have worn this gloss on its own, and then over plenty of nude lipsticks. It’s a perfect match with MAC velvet teddy.
For Christmas last year I got the Bobbi Brown ‘Rich lip gloss’ in ‘Pink Buff‘. The rich glosses are much more pigmented and thicker in texture. They sit just same on the lips but also act like a lipstick too. If you are a frequent reader of my blog then you’ll know by now that I love a pink/nude shade lip. ‘Pink buff’ is definitely this but also with a hint of plum. It goes perfectly with winged liner or a brown smokey eye, and I love wearing it all day and night! I also think this gloss would be perfect for the workplace. It doesn’t budge and it adds something different to your work makeup that’s not too much -click here for my workplace make-up post.
My favourite time to wear a lip gloss is when my hair is up in a messy bun or high pony. At these times no hair can get stuck to my lips making my make up ruined and my hair all sticky! I think lip glosses can also be worn in any season. They are light enough for summer, but then perfect for adding extra glam to your party looks in winter.
These two lip glosses are both £21. This is definitely a high end brand so the price has to reflect this. I do think that for the amount of money you pay its really worth it. Both glosses last all day, and they are really great quality. The fact that I have gone back and purchased a second gloss just shows how much i’d recommend these lip glosses to anyone! I think one would make a great gift to yourself or a loved one. They definitely are a staple product within my make up bag now.
I love these lip glosses and can’t wait to continue to grown my collection of them. I think my next one will be either a bright pink/coral or a deep red. Have you got any of these glosses? Which shade would you recommend?! Let me know on here or on my Twitter and Instagram. Make sure you follow me for my mini reviews that feature on my social media as well as my blog!
