Girls Night out: Top 5 Handbag Essentials!

The bank holiday weekends are rolling in and its getting a bit warmer outside! Its the perfect time of year to grab your girls, sip some cocktails, and dance the night away! I love going out with my girls and I always have some essentials with me in my handbag to keep my night drama free!

Girls Night Out all 2

I have to have these 5 items in my handbag at all times to have the best girls night out possible!

  1. A Killer Lipstick

You can’t go wrong if your lips are rocking the best shade ever and your feeling so confident in your outfit and make up! Recently I have been loving the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Pillow Talk’ lipstick as it just oozes GLAM! Her lipsticks have been designed to be so easy to apply too straight from the bullet – so no messy applications after one too many margaritas!

2. Setting Powder!

We all have those nights where its a bit hot on the dance floor and your face starts to get a touch shiny! I love to use a translucent powder for these occasions as they don’t ruin and contrast with your makeup and they re-set everything into a flawless position! My favourite is the MAC Cosmetics prep and prime pressed finishing powder .

This powder comes in a little compact with a mirror too!. Perfect for when there are too many girls in front of the mirror  – you can still touch up your makeup! I also love to take a small kabuki brush in my bag to apply the powder with – this one was about £1 from primark – I never take an expensive make up brush with me on a night out!

3. Eyeliner
I always take an eyeliner on a night out with me. It is the perfect way to add a little extra glam if your girls decide you want to have a dance and not just drinks; or if you want to touch up your make up throughout the night! My favourite is currently a black kohl liner from Topshop. They are really long lasting and can easily be blended to create a more smokey eye. They also are really easy to apply and are very pigmented!

4. Emergency £10
Somewhere in my handbag I always hide a £10 note. This is so I know I will always have enough money to get home and be safe! or if I have plenty of money left at the end of the night I always have enough for a McDonald’s (come on we’ve all done it). It is such a great thing to have stored away as it always gives me peace of mind all night and lets me relax and have fun with my girls! We now all do this so we all know we will get home safe and well.

5. Phone
My final handbag essential is a (fully charged) phone. I haven’t got a photo of mine as it is what I use to take my blogging photos with (iPhone 6 you’ve all seen one im sure!).  I always make sure its fully charged and my location privacy is on so if i ever lose it I can find it, or if something bad happens I can be found! I love to snapchat the night away to look back on in the morning and take 1000’s of selfies throughout the night with my girls! I also like to text my boyfriend or parents to let them know i’m okay and that I’m getting home alright.

That’s my top 5 handbag essentials for my girls night out – I also have my ID and house keys but we all have those so no need to mention haha! What are your girls night out handbag essentials? Let me know on my Twitter and Instagram!

Also what is your favourite cocktail to have on a girls night out? My current favourite is a strawberry mojito!

Lots of Love,

I’m so in love with your handbag! Great tip too about leaving the location on in your phone. I’d also like to see someone deny the Mcdonalds trip lol

These are some great Night out essentials! I always have my lipstick with me and money plus the phone. And I have to have some chewing gum and a set of tissues with me.

Haha YES to the emergency tenner. I often ‘hide’ money in a separate compartment so i don’t spend it incase of emergency! My top 2 items are: mini perfume sample & blotting paper 😀

Also how cute is your bag!

If I take an emergency £10, I remember about it straight away and it gets used far too early in the night! haha. Love this post though xxx
