Its officially summer! I can't wait to go on holiday this year with my fiancé! The only problem is when I go on holiday I always suffer from dry and brittle hair after a day at the beach or by the pool. Therefore this year I have come up with a plan to keep my hair looking silky smooth and holiday ready!
One of the first things I want to look at taking away with me on holiday to stop my hair becoming dry is a hair dryer that helps my hair as well as drying it! Panasonic recently got in touch with me to recommend their new EH-NA65 Hair dryer with nanoe technology which helps lock in moisture into your hair instead of drying it out.
This sounds really intriguing to me as my hair type is very fine so can be come dry so quickly. I have never though about investing in a good hair dryer and I've now added this one to my wish list!. It is also small, and lightweight so perfect for popping into your suitcase!
Along with a great hairdryer I will also be taking a de-tangle comb away with me on holiday. These are great for knotted beach hair! I have recently fallen in love with the brand 'wet brush' and all of their different brushes for each different types of hair! I got my wet brush detangle comb from Beauty Bay and I love it! the wavy comb really slides through your hair and never pulls it out. I've tried tangle teasers in the past but this comb along with the brands brush for fine hair is 1 million times better.
Whilst on holiday I fell like my hair always gets most brittle after I have been in the sea or the pool. I usually have my hair in plaits, get my hair wet and then let it dry naturally multiple times throughout the day. This year I am going to take this Umberto Giannini 'Pool Proof' Hair protection cream with me to make sure my hair stays silky smooth throughout my holiday!
Although this is quite a pricey hair product for me (£8) I think what it says it will do to help my hair be totally worth it! I think I will braid my hair and then rub the cream over the braids and let it sink in as you are meant to leave it in your hair for the day.
On the packaging it claims to stops hair from getting tangled, prevents hair from salt water and chlorine damage; and has coconut and olive oil in to maintain moisture in your hair! Its also a cruelty free brand which is always a winner to me! Ill keep you guys updated on what I think of this product on my Instagram stories throughout my holiday so make sure you give me a follow and keep updated!
Another Holiday Hair care product that I would like to take away with me is my new favourite affordable conditioner from Superdrug. Conditioners are essential for any hot holiday!
This conditioner is so affordable (£1.99) for the amount of product that you get! I think they do about 5 different fruit scented conditioners which is amazing. I was drawn to the grapefruit and papaya one as it's such a lovely scent and perfect for summer! I have just seen that the conditioner is also on buy one get one free so you can try 2 different ones at once!
I have so many travel cosmetic bottles so I'm going to decant a load of this conditioner into a smaller bottle as it will be lighter to carry.
My last essential for holiday hair is a hair oil. This is the perfect thing to take with you to use on clean wet hair after you've washed it. It makes your hair super soft and shiny whilst keeping it healthy. I swear by morrocan Argan oil for my hair, I absolutely love it and one pump coats all of the ends of my hair perfectly!
In the hair care section of my blog I love to write reviews on hair care products that I'm obsessed with and use daily. I recently did a post on Hair Oil and if it's actually worth the hype. It has now become one of my favourite hair products this year.
So now it's time to get my bags and jet off for a week in the sun knowing my hair won't be damaged or hard to take care of!
Where are you going this summer?! If you staying here or going away and are stuck for ideas don't forget to read my '10 things to do this Summer' blog post!
