Magic Eye Rescue Cream – Charlotte Tilbury

If you’ve been reading my blog posts for a long time you’ll know that eye cream is my go to skincare fave product. Well that all changed in December last year when I got the Magic Eye Cream by Charlotte Tilbury.

Charlotte Tilbury - Magic Eye rescueI love a great eye cream. For me I need an eye cream that hides eye bags, dark circles, and hides limited sleep or stress. I like to apply it every day morning and evening as part of my daily skincare routine. I wear a lot of eye makeup and foundation most days and therefore I need an eye cream that will replenish this area.

I asked for the Magic Eye Rescue Cream by Charlotte Tilbury for Christmas from my brother. I had recently tested it out from using a sample of it in a recent CT purchase and I fell in love. It literally makes me look like I have new and rejuvenated eyes!

The packaging with all CT products is stunning. The light pink box and rose gold detailing really make this eye cream look and feel so luxurious on your dressing table. The pot itself is plastic but is plenty durable enough to take away on your travels. Its also 15 ml (seems small but you don’t need a lot) so is perfect if you have a long haul flight and  want to pop it in your hand luggage.

The eye cream is stated to have anti aging properties… Well I am only 24 so don’t feel like I need much anti aging. I do have really long and stressful days at work however (#NHSlife) therefore I need something that will help my eye area look vibrant, awake, and plump and healthy which this eye cream certainly does!

I use the smallest amount of cream to just cover the tip of my ring fingers, then blend in a sweeping motion under my eyes, on my brow bone, and use the remainder on the top of my eyelids. I have found this product amazing for thickening brow hair and hydrating skin instantly.

The only down side to this eye cream is that it takes a while to sink in. This is fine at night as I apply it just before I go to sleep but in a morning I tend to rub it in more until it fully soaks in. As the cream is quite thick in texture it can cause your foundation to slip when you apply it before the cream soaks in.

The Magic Eye Rescue Cream is £40. Yes this is expensive but its TOTALLY WORTH IT. It is the perfect gift to ask for if you have a birthday coming up or better still go to your local CT counter and ask them for a sample. The samples are large enough to last at least 3-4 days so you can really see if you want to invest in the product or not. I’ve actually not used lots of mine as you don’t need to apply much but I’m already thinking of asking for another for my birthday in March just so I have a spare one!

If you are looking for an eye cream from the drugstore I would recommend the Simple eye cream, however if you want to treat yourself to some luxury skincare then you cant go wrong with this product.

Have you tried any skin care by Charlotte Tilbury? What would you recommend? I really want to try more but wondering what to venture into next! – also whats your go to eye cream if you use one?

Lots of love,

The Beauty Analyst xo

Woah, £40?! Tbf they always say to invest in skin care and if it works then it’s worth it! I’ve only recently started using eye cream and I’m actually loving it haha xx

I know! That’s why I asked for it as a gift as I couldn’t justify paying that much at first. But now I totally would as it’s great! Which eye cream do you use?! I couldn’t live without eye cream now haha! xxxx

Yeah, I always ask for things I can’t justify for gifts! It works so well! I’m currently using one I got in a beauty box, I think it’s a Ren one. It’s definitely nice but nothing super special! I’m going to have to branch out when I finish it xxxx

It’s the best way!! And ooo that sounds good though, I’d recommend going into John Lewis or boots and going round asking for eye cream samples then 1 – you have eye creams, and 2 – you find one that you actually want to buy and not waste money on haha xxxx

That’s such a good idea! It’s definitely harder now I’m going cruelty free too, so many different things to consider! Xxxx

O love an eye gel, but have yet to try this one. I prefer a gel to a cream usually, but this looks like a kind of whipped, light cream? I think I might grab a sample, thanks for sharing xx

Its actually quite a gel consistency, very thick on skin as it takes a while to soak in! think you’ll like it xo

I think £40 isn’t too bad a price point if the product works! I had a sample of this once and loved it! It’s one of those things I always keep meaning to buy! I’m currently using one from L’occitane so maybe once that’s out I’ll give this one a go as they are similar prices!!

I’ve never tried L’oocitane products and really need to! I would definitely recommend as it lasts forever so you dont feel like you’ve spent alot on a product that wont last very long xo
